    May 2020 Lakes Region Statistical Report

    Alton Things are moving FAST! We are seeing significantly lower days on market averages than we did in the past few months....

    Alton

     Things are moving FAST! We are seeing significantly lower days on market averages than we did in the past few months. For instance, in April Alton's average DOM was 59 compared to in May with just 26. When a property comes on the market, it doesn't last long these days!

    Alton saw 13 new properties come on the market, 5 go under agreement and 7 close in May.

    Center Harbor

    Being one of the smaller towns, Center Harbor's number are typically lower than the rest of the towns surrounding Lake Winnipesaukee. For instance, there were no properties to close last month but there was 2 new listings that hit the market and 2 that went under agreement. One of the two properties to come on the market was our listing at 224 Dane Rd.

    With the third highest amount, 9 listings closed last month in Gilford. Moultonborough having 10 and Laconia having 18 to beat Gilford. Again with the third highest, there were 15 new properties that came on the market and 6 went under agreement.

     One of the properties that went under agreement we are happy to be representing the buyers on. This property is expected to close in July! 

    Laconia

    Laconia had the most properties to come on the market, to go under agreement and to close last month! Eighteen listings sold with a 97.27% list to sale ratio and a days on market average of 61 days. Nineteen new listings hit the market while 13 went under agreement.

    Six listings sold in Meredith last month ending the month with a days on market average of 137 days, the highest for the towns surrounding Lake Winnipesaukee. In April of 2019, the average DOM was only 84 so there was a significant jump when comparing the two.

    12 new properties hit the market and 3 went under agreement. One of the new listings was our property at 25 South Watch Rd that is currently under agreement!

    Moultonborough

    Last month, Moultonborough saw 10 listings close, 2 of which we were fortunate enough to represent the buyers and sellers at 106 Birch Lane and 152 Bean Rd.  

    8 New listings hit the market, and 3 went under agreement one of which was our land listing on Gilman Point! The average DOM was one of the lowest with only 34 days.

    Three new listings went on the market in Tuftonboro last month and an additional 3 sold. There were no listings that went under agreement in Tuftonboro in the month of April but this town did have the lowest DOM average with just 23 days!
