Torch Blown Glass Class

Ignite Your Creativity! Torch-Blown Glass workshop at Art Escape
Join us for an unforgettable experience at Art Escape, where you’ll learn the thrilling art of blowing and shaping molten glass with a torch!
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll teach you to create beautiful German-style ornaments and plant watering globes—no experience required!
What to Expect:We’ll kick things off with a live demo to show you the magic of glassblowing. Then, it’s your turn to melt and blow glass into stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. Whether you’re crafting holiday ornaments or practical plant globes, your creations will be truly unique!
Materials Included:
3 glass tubes to work with (practice makes perfect, so expect some fun surprises along the way!)Keep in mind: You might not end up with 3 ornaments, as glass blowing takes a little practice. Some of your pieces might come out in funky, unexpected shapes—but that’s part of the fun!
A colorful assortment of glass frit to personalize your designsWant more? Additional tubes are available for just $17 if time allows!
snacks and drinks! Feel free to bring along your favorite non-alcoholic drinks (for saftey as we are usung torches) and light snacks to make the evening extra enjoyable. And any cups, plates, and napkins you would like.
Timing:We suggest arriving on time—you don’t want to miss the demo! If you choose all plant globes, they’ll be annealed and ready for pickup the next business day at 4 PM. If you create ornaments, we’ll need time to cut them, so they’ll be ready the following week on Friday.

Safe Haven Ballet is thrilled to bring their spirited, full-length ballet of The Nutcracker to the Colonial Theatre of Laconia! This dynamic performance includes all of your favorite characters including a strong-minded Clara to the eccentric Drosselmeyer, the spooky Rats, as well as the beloved Sugarplum Fairy. In the Land of Sweets you will be introduced to a variation unique to Safe Haven Ballet called The Brave American.
SHB is a 501(c)(3) Trauma Informed touring professional ballet company and pre-professional school located in beautiful Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and exists to offer uplifting performances and free trauma sensitive classes to survivors of sexual/domestic violence and trauma. Many of these brave survivors will be in the production as they help bring the magic of the season to you. We would love your energetic applause!

Christmas at the Castle- Home for the Holiidays

Join Castle in the Clouds for our beloved annual tradition of Christmas at the Castle! This year, the festivities are bigger and better than ever with 3 weekends of Christmas at the Castle!
The historic Lucknow Mansion will be elegantly decorated with the help of local businesses and organizations according to this year’s theme: Home for the Holidays. The holiday magic continues in our Carriage House, where you can purchase gifts from local vendors at the Artisan Fair, drink hot cocoa and munch on holiday cookies, dine in the stables at the Carriage House Restaurant, get creative at our craft table, and even take photos with Santa!
Tickets will be sold in advance on our website and in person at the Carriage House until 3 pm each day of the event. Tickets purchased are redeemable for any day of Christmas at the Castle program this year.
