This Week's Program:
If you’d like to wander the woods at night, this would be a great time to do so! Join Meghan and Virginia on an evening stroll through Belknap Woods. Bright moonlight reflecting off the snow will light our way, but bring your headlamp, too! Listen to the sounds of the woods at night, and perhaps witness some nocturnal animals on our journey. Wear warm layers and bring water and rain gear (just in case). We will provide snowshoes or microspikes if needed, but also feel free to bring your own.
What to Bring: Layers of clothes for colder temperatures, rain gear (just in case), snacks, water, hiking boots or snowshoes, headlamps. Bring trekking poles if you’d like and microspikes or snowshoes depending on the weather, we have these available to borrow just let us know.
Make sure you're prepared for winter hiking by referencing SLA's guide on what to wear and checking out SLA 's gear library.
Audience: All ages are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.
