90 minute programs begin at at the top of each hour 10 am-2 pm
Experience a Northeast tradition that predates New England—making maple syrup! From tapping a tree to tasting delicious maple syrup, you will take an inside look into every step of the syrup making process. Our naturalists will help you identify maple trees, learn the parts of the tree and their functions, and how the maple sap is turned into syrup.
Snowshoes or snow cleats available (no extra charge) to borrow or guests may bring their own.

This event is made possible by the great folks in the Squam Trail Busters. Shawn, Jonathan, and all the STB fellas spend weeks checking the ice, laying out and plowing the track, and organizing their crew for a day of bonfires, grilling and refreshing drinks on the frozen lake!
Winter Carnival Mar 2nd

Join us for a free family event for the community! The Boys & Girls of the Lakes Region is holding its first winter carnival. The event will include face painting, a bounce house, games, and so much more. Friends of the Lakes Region and other local organizations will be joining the event to celebrate and provide a fun and free indoor event for families.
